Day 6 11.10 Lane Cove, Sydney 88km

Rain has continued on & off all day.
A reasonable sleep at the truck stop, thanks to my ear plugs ☺ Woke to find numerous trucks close by.

Very leisurely pack up as we head into Sydney, which is not very far away.
I found a beautiful garden for us to explore on the way. We needed to find something to fill in time before we could get in to the caravan park.
The gardens are divided into 12 different themed areas.

Obelisk represents the reality of Australia as an island surrounded by water. ⬇
When the Obelisk fills with water it cascades down the stairs and fills up a                                   'puddle' garden ↕

           Wondabyne Sculpture area ⤵
Zone of peace, exchanging culture and friendship for the peace of humanity. ⬇

                    Bird of paradise totem.⬆

Part of the 35m cantirlevered steel foot bridge had peeking holes into the gardens ⬆️& we finished our walk with coffee and cake ⬇
Then it was on to Lane Cove national park  to set up camp.
The road was cut straight through the mountain .
The view from our camp spot ⬇Lots of bird noise and aeroplanes flying over.

Well our adventure in to Sydney was 'interesting'. We battled our way through the traffic, found a secure car park, went to our meeting and when we returned to the car the parking garage was closed 😱 Hidden behind a pole was a sign that said close is 7pm! After a mad panic as it was 9pm, we managed to find a guy, by phone , who could remotely unlock the door so we could get our car. So that car park cost $58 and was very secure!! And it was drizzling rain the whole time.
