Called into the Calico Cottage at Wallumbilla for morning tea and to look at the craft shop & heritage center.
After setting up at the Showgrounds and relaxing for awhile we drove into Roma to visit the big rig. This place displayed the history of oil and gas in the area. We were lucky enough to arrive in time for the once a week guided tour.
Old slab hut. A family of 9 lived in this 3 room, dirt floor hut.
While drilling for water they struck gas but didn't know what to do with it.
After 5 years of contemplating they finally used it to have street lighting but the gas ran out after 10 days!
Time to find coffee again and explore .

Today i took way to many photos again . It has been very chilly all day and tonight is supposed to be cold again 😑
