Woke with not much of an idea of where to now, so we slowly packed up and decided to visit the Blackwater International Coal Centre and the Japanese Gardens. I was even allowed to drive the whole 2kms there!!
Lots to see and very educational.
Internet was very slow so we went off to happy hour at 5 and didn't come back until 9pm.

Mark attempting to use the simulator, but like a few other things, it was working.
All the things that need coal in one form or another.

Then it was time to explore the gardens.
Interesting spiky plant that intrigued me. Unfortunately there were no signs to say what it was called.
Stopped to check out the town of Bluff & have some lunch.
Piles of coal.
Never ending trains.
Burnt out fuel bowsers.
Dining room in the pub.
We took a drive to horseshoe lookout in the Blackdown Tablelands. It was pretty steep but the views were spectacular
Cows crossing the road as we came down the range.
Then it was on to the little town of Dingo.
We stayed at a bush caravan park owned by a lovely lady, Jenny. She lit the camp fire about 5pm and joined us for the night , even providing mark with over sized marshmallows to toast. We shared their chicken for a snack and retired around 9pm.
