Day 9. 11.08.18 Jandowea

Wooroolin markets were on this morning at the free camp area. We checked it out and thought we should be supporting the little towns and purchased coffee, bacon sandwiches and a gift for a lovely friend.
We cleaned the inside of the van and a very wet, from the night air, outside wall before packing up and departing for Jandowea , 126kms away, at 9am.
We chose to stay at the Showgrounds. At $10 a night why wouldn't you.
We were lucky that there was a horse event on for the weekend.  So we pulled out our chairs and watched barrel racing , pole bending and coke racing. Very entertaining. They even invited us to come over for the nights camp cook out dinner.
Barrels.
We went for a wander around town.
Metal dingo display.

2 big, old pubs in town.

Chickens wandering around the unappealing caravan park in town.

Dinner cooked by the horse club was a delicious stew with extra veg. Dessert was hot apple crumble with jelly,  fruit and custard.
