Day 3 & 4 rest day & rail trail 6.8.18

Sunday saw us have a rest day, to recuperate from Saturdays ride.
Walked into town for a morning coffee and met a cycling group from the Murgon /Wondai area.
Spent lots of time just enjoying relaxing, reading,  playing uno...
Wandered up to the grand hotel for a seafood basket lunch which was so big we brought half of it home with us.

Just watching the world go by.
The paper our lunch was served on.

Monday morning got off to a late start as we slept in a little and then Marrks bike had a flat tyre and had to be repaired.

We rode 37kms to Murgon and back on the rail trail. While not as grueling as the previous ride it was still challenging.
One of the water crossing on this leg of the trail.
War memorial at RSL in Murgon

Banana cake and coffee to share after we rode to murgon.

 Murgon railway station.
Old railway carriage.
 Old post office,
One of the very few times i had to wait for Mark. He was usually the one waiting patiently for me to catch up, especially on the bridge less crossings.

Rest spot provided in the  Sth Burnett section only.
The only bridge we saw. The rest have all been removed.

We made it home earlier today and had enough energy left to go for a walk later in the day.
A beautiful sunset and rain for our last night in Goomeri.
