Day 12 14.08.18 Roma.

A huge day today. Starting with an early rise and pack up on an extremely cold morning.
We went to the cattle sales yard at 8.30 for a tour. Very informative, loud and smelly but we had a great time .

There were 6,000 head of cattle.
 Waiting to be weighed.

I won't bore you with the other 500 cute cow photos 🐂🐄

Next we set up camp at the Roma gun club. Huge asphalt area. Beautiful hot showers. At least 40 other campers here. Friendly managers, club room and happy hour every day. $15 unpowered.

 Our camping area.

We rode into and around Roma, 14kms roughly,  to check out some touristy sights.

We saw the 3D mural that tells the story of Roma.

Wandered around the war memorial and heroes Avenue.

Then on to St Paul's Anglican Church to learn the history of the windows. Even though I am not a religious person I love looking at the old buildings.  It was quite fascinating.

Old organ .

Above the sun hit the window and made the beautiful colors between the pews below. The photos dont do it justice.

Lunch at the club hotel was nice.

We chained our bikes to an old hitching rail.
Then rode up to hospital hill to see the original wells.
 Court house on hospital hill.

Took a ride around the bush gardens .

After all that it was time to head back for a hot shower and a glass of wine.
We wandered around to find the laundry and got invited in to the club house for happy hour. A soft drink and 90 minutes later we realised we had to get moving as we had booked in to do the night show at the big rig.
The setting sun as we left.
The story of Roma was told on the screen
 and with a light show.
The big rig looked very pretty all lit up in different colours.

Traveled 43 kms.
