Day 30 4.11.18 Sebastian, Bendigo 144km

Today we headed off again, in the direction of Bendigo. We got distracted in Heathcote, where we found the Pink Cliffs, an old mining area where the iron ore deposits have changed the colour of the soil to various shades of pink.

We had a quick look around the town and decided to ride part of the O'keefe rail trail. It was a gravel surface and was hurting my dodgy shoulder so I only rode 19 kms. Mark rode 34kms.

Again we got distracted by the most incredible 'confectionery capers' attraction. It was an amazing display of anything and everything that moves, almost like a side show alley. The photos dont do it justice.

We finally got to Bendigo about 3 o'clock. Went to the info center, explored Rosalind park & the war memorial area. We booked tickets for the talking tram and Joss house tour tomorrow.

We have free camped about 20kms out of Bendigo in a tiny town called Sebastian. It has next to nothing phone or Internet coverage 😕 so photos will appear at a later date.
Big open sports fields, only 3 campers here.
