Day 40 14.11.18 St George

Another early morning walk for me, 3.1km. Woke at 6ish as normal only to discover that with no daylight savings it was actually only 5ish.
Early morning shot of our camp spot .
Found some friends↕to say good morning to

Entrance to the hospital is lined with Jacaranda trees⬆
Art work at the high school⬇
After breakfast we headed off on our bikes to explore the town. It's not as big as I expected and we only rode 10kms, which is enough to not annoy my shoulder.  We rode along the Balonne river for awhile.
The view of the river ↕ from a pontoon

The weir, lots of water one side but none the other.

Memorial to all who served in all wars.
The map of the town we were given suggested this ↕ was a cacti garden to visit. It was in  a private home so we couldn't actually wander through.
After grabbing some groceries we headed back to the camper for some chores. Stripped the bed and did 2 loads of washing, car maintenance and cooked a bacon, spinach and feta pizza for lunch in the camps pizza oven. Mark had a swim while I did the dishes. We grabbed the washing back in and Mark made the bed while I read my book. After all that boring stuff we headed back to the pool ☺
An interesting tree i found at the caravan park.

A storm rolled in late this afternoon. Thunder, lighting and rain. We were treated to a beautiful double rainbow while cooking chicken kiev and potatoes in the pizza oven for dinner.
