It cooled down nicely during the night after being 30 degrees yesterday.
We moved on to Lightning Ridge. Stopped to see Stanley on the way.

First stop was the information centre and we had to have a sausage sandwich, a fundraiser for the local hospital.
After setting up camp we decided to do some self drive door tours, starting with the red door.

Partly made from bottles ⬆
Ridge castle,  privately owned ⬆
Amigo castle was closed ↕

A couple of open cut mines ↕

An old church from 1967 ⬆
Mounds and mounds of dirt.

A very quiet afternoon as it was 31 degrees and no humidity . Most things were closed as its out of season and also a Sunday.
The flies are less but there's ants everywhere .
